Alright folks. Here we are at week 6, and I’m having anxiety flashbacks of being in school and having a paper due today, and I haven’t even started it!! Jk Jk, I HAVE started, but am I caught up, and was I ready for today with an impressive progress report, nope! So here’s where I’m at.
After measuring this wall, and going back and forth whether I should do a skinny desk for my hubs to work at, or a storage cabinet to house my printer and other office supplies, I went with the cabinet. The room is already small, and I didn’t want to make it claustrophobic with a bunch of furniture crammed in.
The pandemic though has made it a bit difficult to get pieces. I haven’t been able to go “window shopping”. It’s more like, measure it online, eyeball it, go pick it up, and pray it works.
So after a two and a half hour wait in the curbside pickup line at Ikea, I got this office cabinet, and then the fun of putting it together began:)
It was a little spendy for what I expected from Ikea, or I wanted to pay, but I knew I had to have something for week 6! So thank you everyone for keeping me on track.
And I love it! I have to say, it works perfectly in the space and now I don't have to look at cords, a bulky old printer and all my other junk. Its all tucked away neatly.
I’m pretty much playing the waiting (and procrastinating) game now.
I have some pieces on their way, that I’m super excited about, like a custom acrylic calendar from GIRL FRIDAY HOME, a Rug from RUGS USA and a Peg Board for my Jewelry Making Tools. But per my usual style, this will all come together at the very. last. minute.
I must say thought, that I’m very grateful for the accountability this platform is giving me. Otherwise, I would probably go another year with an uninspiring office. Blah!
You're probably spending a lot more time at home lately. Your home or apartment might be doubling as your office, classroom, playroom, gym and more. Those walls might be starting to majorly close in, I know mine are! After living in our home for over two years, I still feel like I haven't unpacked. Half of my clothes and shoes are still in the garage, my drawers have been bursting at the seams, and our closets are so tiny I can't make of sense of where to put anything. So add all of that added chaos on top of clutter and disorganization, and that's a recipe for some major stress.
I decided to start with decluttering and organizing my drawers.
11:11. So what does it mean anyway? Well, for what seems like forever now, I've been seeing 11:11 pretty much on every day. And yes, I've known that it's a good omen and that if you see it, it’s a sign from the Universe that you’re on the right path. So, naturally, I became obsessed. However, I never knew all of the magical hidden meanings behind this auspicious number.
Let's face it, I don't care if you're the positive person in the world, and a rainbow literally follows you around on a daily basis, we all have bad days. No one's lives are sunshine and rainbows 365 days out of the year. Some days maintaining a positive mindset can be a bit of a struggle. I'm sharing with you some tips and easy practices that can help.
